Law Firm Westside Managing Partners Roundtable Created

Ed Poll, The Practical Guide to Profit™ for lawyers, and Alan I.. Rothenberg, founder of First Century Bank, announce the creation of the new Westside Managing Partners Roundtable.

Poll said that "Being a managing partner is a lofty and very responsible position. But, law school never taught us what we need to know to manage a law firm. Despite being dynamic and capable lawyers, managing partners are often isolated at the top of their firms."

Poll has facilitated his Major Law Firm Managing Partners Roundtable since 1995. Many in his group emphasize the importance of the support they receive from others in like positions in other law firms. The creation of the new group focuses on law firms with 20 to 80 lawyers, a special size niche that is particularly vulnerable in today's competitive economic climate.

Poll asks whether:

• As the leader of your firm, do you sense you're getting "yes" answers, when perhaps you should be getting "no" responses, just because you sign the check?
• Are you feeling that the burden of the entire firm lays solely on your shoulders?
• Would you like to increase the profitability of your law firm by speaking discreetly, but frankly, with other managing partners to discuss "what worked – and what didn't work?"

The new group will address questions raised by the group in the areas of management, marketing, finance and technology.
